Agartala: Feb 09: Jitendra Chowdhury, the leader of the opposition in Manipur, has launched a scathing attack on the ruling party, calling it a “commission-based government” . He accused the government of misleading the public, keeping people in the dark, and making false promises in the name of development.
Chowdhury, who is also the state secretary of the CPI(M), criticized the Chief Minister and other ministers for not taking any substantial action, suggesting that their only role is to continue with this false narrative. He also highlighted internal conflicts within the ruling party, warning that this internal discord could quickly spread throughout the entire state, causing further instability.
Moreover, Chowdhury attributed the BJP’s rise to power in Delhi to the “Hindu wave” in the recent elections, stating that it has led to the BJP’s return to power. He further criticized the BJP for not having any real agenda of its own, claiming that its rise is based on exploiting communal sentiments rather than any genuine political vision.
This is not the first time Chowdhury has spoken out against the ruling party. In the past, he has criticized the government’s handling of violence in Manipur and accused them of adopting divisive policies .
