Agartala: Dec 28: A blood donation camp was organized today by the Nine Bullets Club in Krishna Nagar, Agartala. The camp was inaugurated by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha.
During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of blood donation, stating that donating blood does not harm the body but rather contributes to maintaining good health. He stressed the need to raise awareness among the public about the health benefits of blood donation and dispel misconceptions surrounding it.
Dr. Saha further explained that one of the main objectives of such blood donation camps is to encourage people who are healthy but reluctant to donate blood. He urged people to overcome their hesitations and contribute to this noble cause. The Chief Minister also called upon various clubs and organizations to play a significant role in spreading awareness about blood donation and motivating people to participate.
He reiterated that while the government is committed to the overall development of the people, it is essential for local clubs to actively engage in social initiatives. He called for every club in the state to contribute to creating awareness about blood donation and work towards building a drug-free Tripura. The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to all the blood donors, health workers, and organizers who made the event a success.
The event highlighted the state government’s focus on encouraging public participation in community welfare activities and promoting a healthy and socially responsible society.
