Agartala: Dec 26: Five ASHA workers and three ASHA facilitators from West Tripura district were honored for their outstanding work on Thursday at a ceremony held in the conference hall of IGM Hospital. The event was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumdar, along with the Chief Medical Officer of West District and other officials.
During the ceremony, Mayor Deepak Majumdar spoke about the crucial role ASHA workers play in delivering healthcare services to the people. He highlighted how the government prioritizes healthcare and works to ensure it reaches every individual. ASHA workers are responsible for monitoring the health of pregnant women and ensuring they receive the necessary services. They play an essential role in making healthcare accessible in remote areas.
The purpose of the event was to honor these dedicated individuals for their excellent work and to encourage them further. The five ASHA workers and three ASHA facilitators were presented with the recognition as a gesture of appreciation for their continuous efforts in improving healthcare services in the community.
