Agartala: August 23: On August 23rd, in observance of Statehood Demand Day, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) held a rally and dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, advocating for the creation of Tipraland. The event was led by IPFT President Prem Kumar Reang and General Secretary Swapan Debbarma.
Other prominent leaders present at the dharna included Vice President K.K. Jamatia, Assistant General Secretary Amit Debbarma, Youth IPFT President Bikash Debbarma, and IMWFT President Tarun Debbarma. During the protest, the leaders submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Home Affairs Office.
