Agartala: July 30: A training program aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of linemen and helpers has commenced at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala. This initiative, organized by the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) in collaboration with the Tripura State Electricity Corporation, seeks to address the frequent accidents that occur due to the negligence of safety measures during repair work.
The three-day program was inaugurated by Dr. Rohit Barma, Director of the North Eastern Regional Office of NPTI, along with other officials from the Tripura State Electricity Corporation. Thirty linemen and helpers from across the state are participating in this initial phase of training.
Dr. Verma highlighted that this training is part of a nationwide program targeting 20,000 linemen, focusing on modern techniques for electrical line repair and strict adherence to safety protocols. The goal is to ensure that linemen and helpers can perform their duties safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of accidents while maintaining prompt repair work.
