**Agartala, Sept 2:** The Pradesh BJP headquarters in Agartala witnessed a high-level organisational meeting on Wednesday, bringing together senior national and state leaders to review the party’s organisational preparedness and chalk out strategies for upcoming political programmes, particularly ahead of the Village Committee elections.
The meeting was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, former Chief Minister and BJP National General Secretary Biplab Kumar Deb, and several senior leaders from the party’s national and state units.
Among those present were B.L. Santosh, BJP National General Secretary (Organisation); Dr. Sambit Patra, North-East Coordinator and MP; Rajiv Babbar, North-East Co-Coordinator; Rajdeep Roy, State In-Charge; Ravindra Raju, Organisation Minister for Tripura and Assam; and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee.
State ministers, MLAs, Pradesh Committee office bearers, presidents of various party wings, district-level leaders and mandal presidents also participated in the meeting.
According to party leaders, discussions centred on strengthening the organisational structure, expanding grassroots outreach and ensuring effective implementation of the BJP’s upcoming programmes. The leadership reviewed the progress of party activities at different organisational levels and emphasised the need for stronger coordination between senior leaders, workers and grassroots functionaries.
The leaders also stressed the importance of maintaining regular contact with the people and communicating the government’s welfare schemes, development initiatives and achievements more effectively at the grassroots level.
Pradesh BJP president Abhishek Debroy, while speaking to reporters, underlined the need to strengthen unity among party leaders and workers. He said the organisation must work collectively to ensure that the party’s message of development, governance and public welfare reaches every household.
The presence of several senior national leaders, along with the state’s top BJP leadership, gave added significance to the meeting. Party sources described the discussions as important for determining the direction of the organisation’s upcoming activities and political programmes.
With the Village Committee elections approaching, the BJP is expected to intensify its grassroots mobilisation and organisational activities across the state. The meeting is also likely to serve as a platform for coordinating the party’s strategy and strengthening its presence at the local level.
The leadership stressed that unity, coordination and stronger grassroots engagement would remain key priorities as the party prepares for the upcoming political challenges in Tripura.
