Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee has praised the Union Budget 2026-27 as more than just an economic announcement, describing it as a comprehensive roadmap for India’s holistic development.
Speaking on Sunday after witnessing the Budget presentation in Parliament, Bhattacharjee said the financial plan reflects the vision of Viksit Bharat, with a strong focus on infrastructure, job creation, digital transformation, agriculture, and the growth of the MSME sector.
“This Budget is not merely about numbers—it is about charting the roadmap for a developed India. It represents decisive steps towards strengthening the nation’s growth trajectory and ensuring inclusive progress,” he remarked.
Bhattacharjee highlighted that the initiatives announced in the Budget are designed to accelerate India’s journey towards becoming a self-reliant and globally competitive economy. He emphasized that the plan combines fiscal prudence with welfare-oriented reforms, aiming to create tangible benefits for citizens across urban and rural areas.
Observers have noted that the Budget’s emphasis on employment generation, technology-driven reforms, and rural empowerment aligns seamlessly with the government’s long-term vision of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047. Key sectors such as digital infrastructure, smart agriculture, and MSME support are expected to spur sustainable growth while reducing economic disparities.
The MP expressed pride in contributing to the country’s development journey, stressing that the Budget not only charts immediate economic strategies but also lays the foundation for long-term national prosperity. By integrating innovation, social welfare, and economic resilience, the Union Budget 2026-27, he said, is set to transform India into a future-ready nation.
Bhattacharjee’s remarks underline widespread optimism among lawmakers and experts that the Budget will strengthen India’s growth momentum, improve livelihoods, and reinforce its global standing in the years ahead.
