Agartala: Nov 29: The council of ministers on Thursday approved a major recruitment drive, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced on Friday.
Speaking to the reporters at the civil secretariat, Chowdhury, the cabinet spokesman, said the cabinet approved a proposal for the creation and fulfillment of 1566 posts of Graduate and Under-Graduate Teachers under the Education department. The figure included 467 Under Graduate teachers and 467 Graduate teachers.
Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura would conduct the recruitment drive, he said, adding that the decision aimed to meet the teachers’ shortage in various schools.
Chowdhury also said that under the Rural Development department, 198 Junior Engineers (Civil) would be recruited through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). The figure included 105 (Degree) and 93 (Diploma).
The cabinet also gave approval for the recruitment of 112 Special Educators for Vidyajyoti Schools on a fixed-pay basis, he said.
In addition, the state cabinet also approved the creation of 151 posts of Warder—137 males and 14 females under the Home (Jail) department, Chowdhury said.
