Badi Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ratan Rabi Das, Rajnagar Range Officer Sukanta Sarkar of Trishna Sanctuary, and Rangamura Range Officer Dulal Das, with support from TSR, police, and CRPF personnel.
In various parts of the Trishna Sanctuary, illegal cannabis cultivation had been taking place, which is causing harm to the environment and posing a threat to local communities. The local population has long been demanding the eradication of such illicit activities. With the successful destruction of these cannabis plants, the operation has been met with widespread approval from the people, who are calling for continued efforts to curb illegal cultivation in the region.
