Agartala, Sept 05: A Class 12 student, Ratnadweep Rudra Pal, of Nandannagar Higher Secondary School was stabbed and injured in a school brawl allegedly involving a Class 10 student and outsiders.
According to Ratnadweep, a dispute over the electricity switch for the Class 12 room, located in the Class 10 room, led to the incident. Class 10 students had been switching off the electricity, prompting a confrontation with Class 12 students.
The situation escalated when a Class 10 student brought in outsiders armed with sharp weapons, who allegedly attacked Ratnadweep, causing serious injuries.
The school’s headmistress reported that the school gates were locked during school hours, but a Class 10 student scaled the wall and brought the outsiders into the school.
Ratnadweep is currently undergoing treatment at GB Hospital in Agartala. The accused student was detained within the school premises, and a meeting was convened to address the situation.
