Agartala: June 05: In an effort to promote environmental sustainability and enhance green cover, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Unakoti, organized a Mass Plantation Drive at Radhanagar, Kumarghat, Tripura. The event saw the planting of over 500 saplings of various local species along the Radhanager-Unakoti highway.
The initiative was well-received by the local community, with the Gram Pradhan and many residents expressing their appreciation for the concerted efforts to improve their environment. The Divisional Forest Officer has reaffirmed the department’s commitment to maintaining and nurturing the newly planted saplings to ensure their growth and survival.
This plantation drive is part of a larger initiative to foster environmental conservation and community involvement in Tripura, underscoring the vital role played by Assam Rifles and the forest department in these endeavors.
