Agartala: April 23: In response to the ongoing intense heatwave, the state government has taken a proactive step to safeguard students. All government and government-recognized schools, as well as madrasahs, will remain closed from April 24, 2024, to April 27, 2024. This decision comes after the Meteorological Department issued a three-to-four day weather warning, predicting higher-than-normal maximum temperatures across various parts of the state during this period.
Parents expressed concern about their children’s well-being while attending school in the scorching heat. Acknowledging these worries, the state government declared a four-day holiday to shield students from the extreme weather conditions. Citizens have welcomed this initiative, recognizing it as a thoughtful measure to prioritize student health and safety.
