Agartala: March 09. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday said that Tripura’s development speed is consistently high under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and under the aegis of Viksit Bharat, Tripura is progressing in sync with Viksit Tripura.
Dr. Saha said this while addressing a program in Sabroom of Tripura’s South District, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 8,534.02 Crores on Saturday.
On this day the Vikshit Bharat Vikshit Tripura was also trending on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized that without developing the Northeast, overall development in India is not possible. Thanks to the Act East Policy, we are now witnessing what development truly means. PM Modi has introduced the HIRA Model to us. He has laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 8,534 crores in Tripura, the highest amount. Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, these projects will create a new chapter of development, aligning with the goal of Viksit Bharat Viksit Tripura. Tripura’s development is consistently progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and under the umbrella of Viksit Bharat, Tripura is advancing step by step with Viksit Tripura,” he said.
Dr. Saha highlighted that the political scenario has changed since 2018 under the leadership of PM Modi.
“We eagerly waiting for the operation of Maitri Setu, which will turn Tripura into the gateway of Southeast Asia. The time has come, and soon operations through Maitri Setu will commence. After Akhura, Srimantapur ICP, Sabroom ICP is the largest in Tripura. People from Northeast India and other states can easily access the Chittagong port through this ICP. All of this is possible due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has worked for the overall development of Tripura. We are proud to have a leader who is propelling the country forward. I also want to express gratitude to PM Modi for this,” he added.
Dr Saha said that in Tripura, PM Modi virtually inaugurated various projects, including Rs 250 crores for ICP in Sabroom, Rs 732.98 crores for tap connections to 1.46 lakh people, Rs 48 crores for Eklavya Model Residential School in Rupaichari and Karbook, four new schools with a budget of Rs 10 crores, Rs 22.13 crores for the improvement of tourist spot connectivity, Rs 154.51 crores for the rehabilitation and up-gradation of the road from Kailashahar – Kurti Bridge section on NH-208A, Rs 251.89 crores for the rehabilitation and up-gradation of the road from Manu – Lalchara Section on NH-44A, Rs 347.36 crores for the rehabilitation and up-gradation of the road from Kanchanpur – Vaghmun section on NH-44A, Rs 210.54 crores for the rehabilitation and up-gradation of the road from Agartala-Khowai section on NH-108B, Rs 218.24 crores for the improvement and widening to two lanes with paved shoulders of the road from Fultali – Jurichhata section of NH-208, Rs 208.74 crores for the rehabilitation and up-gradation of the road from Kailashahar – Kurti Bridge section on NH-208A.
Apart from these, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Western Bypass for Agartala City, with a budget of Rs. 2026 crores, Rs 190.01 crores for strengthening and improvement of four roads, Rs 202 crores for Agartala Government Dental College Building, Rs 192 crores for the 200 Bedded Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Wing at AGMC & GBP Hospital, Agartala, Rs 121.90 crores for the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicted Persons at Sepahijala.
