Agartala, November 30: After the establishment of the Nationalist government in Tripura, the income of the farmers has increased more than before. Central and state governments are working to make farmers self-reliant through various schemes. Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this at the inauguration ceremony of the new Belbari Agricultural Sub-Division Supervisory Office at Belbari under Jirania Sub-Division today.
On this day Chowdhury said that the farmers of Tripura state are working tirelessly for their socio-economic upliftment by solving various problems. About 36 percent of the state’s average domestic product comes from agriculture.
According to him, after the establishment of our nationalist government in Tripura, the income of farmers has increased more than before. Central and state governments are working to make farmers self-reliant through various schemes. About two and a half lakh farmers of the state are getting 6 (six) thousand rupees per year directly in their bank accounts under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sammannidhi Yojana.
On this day, he also said that the benefits of various flagship schemes of the central government for the development of agriculture, establishment of farmer consultation centers in different parts of the state, purchase of paddy from farmer friends at subsidized prices are being delivered to the farmers. This is increasing the income of farmers.
