Agartala, November 16: Under the Pradhan Mantri Kishan Scheme in Tripura, 640 crore 43 lakh rupees have entered the pockets of farmers so far. 2 lakh 22 thousand 955 farmers in Tripura have benefited by getting that money. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath presented this information in a press conference at the Secretariat today. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sent Rs 44.59 million to the farmers of Tripura for the 15th installment on Wednesday.
On this day he said that the farmers are benefiting greatly under the Pradhan Mantri Kishan Scheme. Farmers of the country are getting 6 thousand rupees every year. He claimed that increasing the income of farmers and keeping them alive is the main goal of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the present Tripura government. According to him, development of villages, poor and farmers is the main policy of BJP government.
Today the Agriculture Minister emphasized that special importance has been given to increase the income of farmers in Tripura. In that, results are visible. He said that the monthly income of farmers in the financial year 2016-17 during the left period was Rs 6580. According to the National Sample Survey, that income has increased to Rs 8982 in the financial year 2018-19. According to him, in the financial year 2020-21, the state’s own survey showed that the income of farmers has increased by Rs 11096. But, in the financial year 2022-23, that income has been set to increase to Rs 13,590, he asserted emphatically.
On this day, the Agriculture Minister gave the details of the district-wise funds received in Tripura under the Pradhan Mantri Kishan Scheme so far. According to the information provided by him, 35837 farmers in Dhalai district Rs 103 crore 43 lakh 48 thousand, 31825 farmers in Gomati district Rs 102 crore 30 lakh 10 thousand, 21971 farmers in Khowai district Rs 58 crore 32 lakh 98 thousand, 38947 farmers in North Tripura district Rs 117 crore 13 lakh 90 thousand, 27407 farmers in Sepahijola district Rs 73 crore 2 lakh 80 thousand, 31995 farmers in South Tripura district Rs 94 crore 65 lakh 48 thousand, 16083 farmers in Unakoti district Rs 41 crore 61 lakh 46 thousand and West Tripura 18890 farmers in the district received Rs 49 crore 93 lakh 26 thousand.
