Agartala, November 12:In a celebration of cultural and religious diversity, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha immersed himself in the spiritual ambiance on Sunday, offering prayers at the Umamaheshwari temples and the Anandamoie Maa Ashram, dedicated to the powerful Goddess Kali.
Dr. Saha also marked the occasion by inaugurating few community Kali Pujas in Agartala, emphasizing the unity in diversity embraced during these festive times.
Meantime, former Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament, Biplab Kumar Deb, participated in worship at the Barjala Kali temple on the outskirts of Agartala, contributing to the collective joy of the occasion.
Union Minister of State, Pratima Bhowmik, chose a unique celebration, commemorating Diwali with the troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Agartala Integrated Checkpost.
The Minister also exchanged sweets with both BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh personnel, symbolizing the camaraderie shared at the border.
However, the main celebration of Kali Puja festivities in Tripura unfolded at the Mata Tripurasundari temple in Udaipur, Gomati district.
Here, devotees numbering in the lakhs, gathered for three days of worship and revelry, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere during the Diwali Mela.
As Tripura embraces the confluence of Diwali and Kali Puja, the state resonates with the spirit of unity, devotion, and celebration.
