The morning session started with awareness rally by cadets on celebration of World Post Day today. World post day is celebrated each year on 9 October, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in the Swiss Capital, Bern. The purpose of WPD is to create awareness of the role of the postal sector in people’s and and businesses’ everyday lives and its contribution to the social and economic development of countries. Then all cadets tried their hand in different Obstacles at Assam Rifles Obstacle ground.
The forenoon session started with fire fighting class, Military History & various awards in Indian Army class by Naib Subedar Naresh Kumar followed by Signal & communications class by Havildar B B Limbu. The objective of this camp was to have a knowledge about Regimental way of life.
The afternoon session started with holding a National Level “Dhai Akhar” letter writing campaign on the theme of Digital India for New India on the occasion of World Post Day in which 80 cadets took participate in the event. The best part of the day witnessed sharing experiences by cadets, who have participated recently in All India Camps like Thal Sainik Camp at New Delhi (4 cadets) Mountaineering Expedition at Mount Thelu, Uttarakhand by SUO Risha Debbarma of GDC, Khumlung & Basic Para Course at Agra by Nikita Singha of GDC, Dharmanagar.
After the class meditation practice was taught by Heartfulness Foundation Meditation Foundation team members.It is very simple, easy & effective & ncc cadets enjoyed it very much performing the meditation.
The evening session began with group song competitions followed by conference of all officers to review the whole day activities.
