Agartala, October 7: Lawyers have a leading role in protecting the country’s constitution. Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha said this in an exchange meeting with presidents and editors of various Bar Associations of Tripura at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala today.
On this day, he said, lawyers are the face of the society. Lawyers have an important role to play in building a strong society. A Tripura is not possible without the best Tripura lawyers.
In this meeting organized by the Law Department, the Chief Minister also said that lawyers have a leading role in protecting the constitution of the country. Care should be taken to ensure that people are not harassed by going to court. In addition, lawyers have the responsibility to ensure that people get justice in cases quickly because people have a lot of hope on lawyers. If the case is settled quickly, the relief of people also increases.
The chief minister also said that the law and order situation in the state is now good. In his discussion, he also highlighted the legal institutions like National Law University, Law College, Private Law College etc. existing in the state.
According to him, the state government has allocated more in the budget with emphasis on infrastructure development.
