Agartala, September 11: The state government will not make any compromise in the development of education system. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the state-based Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) exhibition at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan today. He added that the state government is working responsibly to provide quality education to the students of the state.
At the beginning of the program, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition stalls of TLM products in eight districts of the state and exchanged views with the teachers.
On this day Mr. Saha said that the main objective of the government is to make various policies and programs related to education and to ensure their implementation in real sense.
According to him, Nipun Mission has been launched nationwide on July 5, 2021. ‘Nipun’ Tripura has been launched in the state on November 18, 2022. The success of Nipun Tripura depends on our teachers. Teachers are the driving force behind this mission. Although engaged in various tasks, teachers are able to teach innovative ideas using various Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) from Nipun Tripura in the classroom.
On this day, the Chief Minister said that the government is implementing various programs with emphasis on the development of the education system in order to move the state forward. NCERT syllabus was introduced in 2019-20 to address the variation in quality education among students of different boards. An educational channel called Bande Bharat was launched to discuss various topics related to education.
He further said that the state government has launched Tripura Science Talent Search Examination and Math Talent Search Examination in 2020 to increase science mentality among the students of class 9 of the state. Textbooks in 8 ethnic languages like Kakbarok, Manipuri, Chakma, Halam, Mug etc. are being distributed among the students. Tuition fees for female students have been waived for studies up to college level. Also, free bicycles have been distributed to about 1 lakh students studying in class IX.
