Agartala August 22: A Tughlaki Farman has been issued on traffic in some of the busiest areas of the state in the name of traffic services for the past few days. In the latest order, Agartala City Post Office Chowmuhani-Kaman Chowmuhani will not be able to ply TomTom and e-rickshaws from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, strongly condemning such notices.
This was said by CITU leader Amal Chakraborty at a joint press conference on behalf of Tripura E-Rickshaw Workers Union and Tripura Rickshaw Workers Union on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the two organizations held a joint press conference at the CITU office. He also said that since the establishment of this government in 2018, anarchy has been brought down in the field of transport. People are buying e-rickshaws with loans from Bandhan.
And he complained that the government is not allowing rickshaws to run. Besides, complained about the condition of the stands and said that there is no system for the movement of vehicles through the Motor Stand, Chandrapur Stand. There is no place for workers to rest and Nagerjala, built during the Left Front government, is suffering from lack of management. Also there is no parking facility in the city. He said after 2018 workers are losing their jobs, suffering from scarcity. He also said that the mandal leaders have been illegally opening shops in the city since evening. Tripura Rickshaw Workers Union President Samar Chakraborty, All India Road Transport Federation State President Amal Chakraborty and other leaders were present.
