Agartala July 29: A workshop on assessment and legal solutions to organized crime in border areas was organized on Saturday. The workshop was held in the auditorium of Tripura Judicial Academy at Narsinghgarh. The workshop was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Aparesh Kumar Singh and Supreme Court Justice Aniruddha Bose. Appreciating the workshop organized by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said it was a very good initiative. Thanks to Chief Justice Apresh Kumar Singh for this. Borders can be used for various reasons. But the main purpose of this program is to make India free from drugs because drugs are putting the youth in the face of future challenges. As a result of these drugs, the number of HIV positive patients is increasing day by day. This drug is a threat to society and country. He said, this drug is the source of income of international terrorists. While discussing this day, the Chief Minister said that the government is following the policy of zero tolerance. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha presented this information on how many drug seizures, arrests and cases have been registered in the state till June this year. He also said that the state government has decided to make Tripura drug free. In the financial year 2022-23, 1509 cases were registered under the NDPS section. 2,131 people were arrested. 331 NDPS section cases are under investigation. The Chief Minister said that the government is working seriously towards making Tripura drug free. Patna High Court Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Gawahati High Court Justice Manish Chowdhury, Jharkhand High Court Justice Dr. Shiv Nanda Pathak and others will also be present in this workshop. The workshop will be attended by state judicial officers, chief defense counsel, police and BSF officials.
