Agartala, June 30: The work of connecting every village through optical fiber net to digitalize the Gram Panchayats is in full swing. This was said by Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury in an exchange program with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Agniveena Hall in Jirania today.
On this day, Sushanta said, every person from poor to poor has a dream of his own house. Every person dreams of having a perfect house. Central Government and Tripura Government are working towards this goal. The dreams of poor people are being realized today because of the central and state governments.
He added that our villages are the main center of development and self-reliance of the country and state. The role of people’s representatives in Gram Panchayats is to strengthen democracy. The leadership of progress and culture has always been provided by our villages. That is why our Central and State Governments are also moving forward with villages at the center of every policy formulation and every effort.
According to him, that is why the role of Panchayats is being increased and new rights are being given. To digitize the panchayats, the work of connecting every village through optical fiber net is progressing at a fast pace.
He further said that the massive campaign started by our Central and State Governments from employment in villages to construction of solid houses for the poor. Their work is progressing through Gram Panchayats.
