Tripura police arrested one more suspect in connection to the sensational rape incident of a college student in a car in the outskirts of the state capital Agartala last week.
He is the fourth person arrested in the rape case.
On Tuesday police of the Amtali police station under the leadership of SDPO Sadar and Amtali, Asish Dasgupta arrested one Jayanta Rout from the MBB airport said Additional SP Rajdip Deb.
He said that police on the basis of scientific evidence, call list and other information got the led of the fourth suspect in the case and who had fled to neighbouring Assam.
According police had summoned his family members and other associates and created pressure upon them as a result of which ultimately the accused person was compelled to return today and he was arrested from the airport.
He will be produced in the court with plea for police remand to further interrogate him for more information said the senior police officer.
