Agartala April 28: The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of School Students 2022 was organized at Rabindra Centenary Bhavan on Friday. Speaking at the organized function, the Chief Minister said that the pass rate has increased to a large extent in the state. In 2018, the pass rate in higher secondary was 70.58 percent. It increased to 97.45 percent in 2022. Among them, the pass rate of the Janjatis was 64.18 percent. It increased to 96.53 percent in 2022. In 2018, the pass rate in Madhyamik was 52 percent; in 2022 it increased to 91.02 percent. This is a significant issue. Similarly, the pass rate has increased in the case of tribals.
In 2018, the pass rate of Janjatis in Madhyamik was 37.30 percent. The pass rate has increased to 86.55 percent in 2022. The main objective of the government is how to increase the quality of education. And the result of increasing the quality of this quality education is the increase in pass rate in secondary and higher secondary. The Chief Minister also said that students should be attracted for sports and nationalism in addition to studies. Chief Minister’s speech also said that all arrangements are being made so that students do not have to go abroad for higher education. Many colleges are opening, including forensic colleges, dental colleges and law universities. The government is determined to improve the quality of education. Besides, the Chief Minister said to the teachers that they should have a friendly relationship with the students. Then the students will be interested to know more from the teachers. The President of Tripura Madhya Shiksha Parshad Dr. Bhabatosh Saha, former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University Arunadaya Saha and others. Students of different schools also participated in the event. The Chief Minister handed over the certificates of the program to the students.
