Agartala: Apr 24: Towards providing better service to people of the Agartala under the various central and state government welfare schemes, the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) along with the Social Welfare and Social Education Department organized an awareness meeting on different schemes and programs on Monday.
Mayor of AMC Dipak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta, and Councillors of various wards were present in the awareness programme that took place in the conference hall of the AMC.
They discuss on implementing of the various schemes and projects to benefit the citizens. They also raised the hurdle in the process of implementing these schemes and how those hurdles can be overcomes so that maximum benefit can be achieved.
On behalf of the concerned department Deputy Director Dr Chandrani Biswas attended the meeting who addressed the queries and also discussed on the various topics concerning the issues besides the available schemes for the development of the common people.
Speaking on solutions to the problems Biswas also urged the councils to take advantage of the opportunity by properly implementing them in their respective wards so that the public could get benefits from them.
Major discussions was in connection to proper implementation of the ICDS program and social pension scheme which largely focuses on improving the health and social security of the unprivileged section of the society.
