As China attempts to rename places in Arunachal Pradesh and fumes over Union Home Minister Amit Shah visiting the Himalayan frontier state, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Culture and Tourism had cautioned Beijing and said that Arunachal Pradesh has been, is and shall remain an integral part of India.
He said this speaking to reporters in the sidelines of the concluding day of North East Security Education and Global Employability Conclave organised by Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) at Agartala on Tuesday.
Reddy said, “No nation can take a single inch of land be it of Arunachal Pradesh or any other part of India as our army is ready to protect every inch of its territory. China which is repeatedly claiming should realize that such claim will only increase the gap between the two nations and it shall neither benefit China nor India. So China should understand and maintain peace be it Arunachal Pradesh or in other border. It should maintain status quo and both nations should move towards development through fraternity but they are not doing this with India. The Prime Minister had repeatedly raised issue with China.”
The Union DoNER Minister said that no nation has any right to interfere in India’s development process within its territory.
He added that few nations who want to capture the market here are unhappy with India’s development but it will continue to develop its infrastructure and transform into a manufacturing hub.
The Union Minister said, “We want to develop India from all direction but few nations are annoyed as our country is developing, manufacturing and improving its infrastructure. We will not allow them to transform India into their market for selling their products. India will be the manufacturing hub and sell and export its products in the abroad market and on this whoever may get annoyed we shall move ahead on this path.”
He also spoke on the various development activities taking place in North East region especially in the connectivity sector, tourism, infrastructure development, trade, industry beside restoration of peace by reducing insurgency since the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014 and for which Rs five lakh has already been spent and more is in the pipeline.
The Union Minister also said that to bring private investment in the North East region his department is going to hold a North East investment summit at New Delhi beside roadshows in all major metropolitan cities across the country but the biggest challenge is availability of land.
He also said that on the order of PM Modi an initiative has been taken to connect all villages in North East region along with other areas to bring under mobile connectivity within 500 days.
The Minister said to achieve the target meeting has been held with all mobile phone operators and where they do not have their network BSNL shall develop its infrastructure.
