CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said that a procession will be held from the front of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan at ten in the morning and will be approached by the Chief Election Commission official.
Jitendra Chowdhury said that an appeal has been made to the Tipra Mathar Supremo about coming together. As he wants to bring together all the political parties, democratic and secular. So the people of the state will come under one umbrella with the Congress and the CPIM as per the wishes of the people, Jitendra Chowdhury said. To secure democracy, people from all parts raised the slogan “My Vote My Right”. And march with the national flag because BJP is a danger to democracy. So this initiative has been taken to protect the endangered democracy. Those who want to oust BJP need to come on one stage. Jitendra Chowdhury said that BJP will not be able to announce the list of candidates. Birjit Sinha said, people formed the BJP and IPFT coalition government with many hopes and aspirations.
But people are bitterly fed up with this government. And realizing this, the BJP has adopted the path of terror. So the people of the state are ready to give a proper response to this terror. So Congress and CPIM have decided to come on a platform, said Pradesh Congress President Birjit Sinha. He expressed the hope that he will be able to defeat the BJP government with people. He said, it has been decided to hold a procession and deputation for people who love democracy on January 21. And all will have the national flag in hand. On this day, he said in response to a question of the journalists, “Just as the Congress coalition was killed, the Left Front was also killed.” People gave chance to BJP and IPFT coalition later in their time, maybe they will be closed. But it seems they haven’t stopped. Rather, it has been seen that the graph of all criminal incidents including murder, rape, gang-rape, kidnapping, home invasion has been on the rise in the last five years. In other words, these injustices have been overshadowed during the coalition government. And he claims that there has been an attempt to hide this information administratively. He said that this coalition government will bring this crime rate to zero in the coming days. He also said that those who have committed corruption and terrorism will not be given Congress seats. He said that even if they want to come, it will not be useful. According to party sources, a final discussion was held on seat sharing in the meeting.
Actually seat sharing is Congress and CPIM. CPIM candidates in 70 percent seats, Congress in 30 percent seats. Both the parties are willing to include youth in the list of candidates. But opposition leader Manik Sarkar was not seen on a stage that day. Manik Sarkar, a long-time veteran politician, set the stage for the alliance. He is also a member of the Politburo for a long time. He has been pushed away by the announcement of today’s alliance. But he was the chief minister for 20 years and served as the main leader of the party. Left Front convener Narayan Kar, Congress leader Ashish Kumar Saha and other party leaders were also present in the press conference organized on this day.
