Agartala: Jan 15: Amid opposition CPIM and Congress raising ‘total lawlessness in the state and atmosphere not congenial for conducting election, on Sunday hundreds of security personnel along with DM and SP West Tripura district beside other senior officials were seen taking part in police patrolling in Town Bordwali constituency.
The operation is part of confidence building measure under Mission Zero Poll Violence in Tripura declared by the office of the CEO Tripura.
Large numbers of the state police troopers along with large contingent of central paramilitary force flag marched aiming towards area domination and bringing confidence among the population so that they come out in large number to cast their ballots and without any fear.
Locals appreciate the effort and express the deployment of such troops will definitely help to ensure peaceful election.
With less than one-and-a-half month for the crucial assembly election of Tripura such operations are being conducted across the state so that the people have confidence that adequate security forces are being deployed for violence free peaceful election.
Meantime, SP West Tripura district Sankar Debnath, informed that police has already recovered a generator which was looted from the campaigning LED trucks of Congress those were vandalised in Mohanpur this noon.
He said that on the basis of complaint police is taking action and already a generator has been recovered as raids are on in houses of those named in the complaint and the perpetrators shall be booked.
