Agartala: Jan 13: Police arrested ten Bangladeshi youths for illegal entry into Tripura. The passengers were suspected in their altercation with the bus attendant over the tickets when they got into the bus. Then they were arrested and handed over to the police.
On Friday afternoon, 10 Bangladeshis were going to Dambur from Sipahizla in a passenger bus. But when they started arguing with the bus attendant about the fare, the other passengers became suspicious. Passengers immediately informed the police station. On receiving the news, the police rushed and arrested the ten Bangladeshi youths and took them to the police station. During police interrogation, they admitted to illegally entering Tripura. The OC of Bishramganj police station said that the arrested 10 youths admitted to be citizens of Bangladesh. They said that they entered Tripura on foot by crossing the barbed wire fence of Newbazar. They also said that they entered Tripura to see the Dumboor fair. In the meantime, they left from Newbazar on Friday morning to travel to Sepahijla. The OC of Vashanganj police station also said that the arrested are Ujjbel Dey (37), Shibu Barua (32), Rubel, Yusuf Islam (25), Jahangir Alam (24), Rubel Hossain (28), Mohammad Abdul Quader (28), residents of Khagrachari area of Bangladesh. , Mohammad Rana (22), Mohammad Masud Hossain (28), Ramprasad Kamarkar (36) and Mohammad Manir Hossain (26). They will be produced in court tomorrow.
