Agartala: Jan 11: Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the North-East region is progressing in every field including communication, education, and agriculture. As the Prime Minister changed the ‘Look East’ policy and adopted the ‘Act East’ policy, the overall development of the North-East region is taking place. In the coming days, the North Eastern states will play an important role in the development of the economic system of the country. Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, Waterways and AYUSH Sarbananda Sanowal said this at the virtual inauguration of the School of Logistics, Communication and Waterways.
The Union Minister said that after taking charge of the country, the current Prime Minister has decided to make the country one of the most developed countries in the world. For this purpose new policies and plans have been adopted for the last 8 years. Besides, the prime minister also gave priority to the development of those areas which were deprived of development during the previous central government. In order to take North Eastern region on the path of development, the Prime Minister directed the Union Ministers and Secretaries in charge of various departments to visit the North Eastern states regularly.
The Union Shipping Minister said that the institution inaugurated in Tripura today will benefit the state in various fields including communication, trade and commerce. Students along with businessmen of the state will be able to showcase their skills through this institution. As a result, their confidence will increase. Apart from this, the businessmen can also gain knowledge in this institute about how the communication system can be improved in marketing the products of the state abroad. The Union Minister said that the present government of Tripura is committed to make the state one of the best states in the country. For this purpose Tripura government is working by adopting many plans. As a result Tripura is progressing in every field including communication, agriculture, education, tourism.
