Agartala: Jan 07: With less than two months for Tripura to go for the crucial assembly election, opposition Congress is trying to warmup its supporters as it target ruling BJP and union Home Minister Amit Shah.
On Saturday the Congress took out a protest rally against the ruling BJP in Agartala and alleged that none of the promises made by the party and its leaders, including Amit Shah, prior to 2018 election were not fulfilled, so the people of the state no more believe them and which shall be reflected in the results of coming election.
Congress leader and former MLA Asish Kumar Saha alleges that under the present regime there is no rule of law in Tripura.
Congress alleged that in the name of development huge corruption is going on and incidents of rapes, arson, dacoity has become rampant.
He added that against all these Congress has been organising protests and demonstrations, and today’s protest is in Bordwali constituency from which Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha was elected during a by-election few months back.
The Congress leader said through today’s procession they shall also appeal to the voters of that constituency to vote for change and against the BJP.
The protest started from the Congress Bhavan and went through the Bordwali constituency as those took part in the procession raised slogans against the BJP and for change.
