Agartala: Jan 02: The body of a 64-year-old man was found in a drain near the Shri Krishna temple in Tripura’s capital Agartala. Locals claim that the unidentified person used to live by begging in the area. The most sensational thing is that the dead body was recovered within 200 yards of Tripura Chief Minister’s residence. Police recovered the body and sent it to GB Hospital for post-mortem.
Local people saw a person drowning in the drain water in Srikrishna Mandir area today at noon. The police was immediately informed. The police rushed to the news and recovered the body and sent it to GB Hospital. In this regard, Sub-Inspector Krishnadhan Debnath of East Agartala Police Station said that the body of an unidentified person was found in the water of the drain. According to him, the person fell into the drain in the subconscious mind and could not get up. Sub-Inspector Krishnadhan Debnath believes that his age would be approximately 65-70 years. He said that a case of unnatural death has been taken in that incident. Police have started an investigation.
