Agartala: Dec 30: The current government does not want to force anyone to do any work. No project is implemented with sadness or hurt in anyone’s mind. The state government wants to do developmental work with everyone. Apart from this, the national highway is being developed in the state. The central government has sanctioned another 10 thousand 222 crore rupees to the state government for the development of communication system. 7 more national highways and four ropeways have been sanctioned.
This was said by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha while participating in the foundation stone laying and Bhoomi Pujan program of the multi-level car parking cum commercial complex at Old Motorstand area of Agartala on Friday.
Friday, December 30 is another memorable and historic day for the people of the state. The dream of making the capital city of Agartala slowly took another step towards its realization. Modern multi-storey parking system and commercial complex will be built in the old motor stand area to make Agartala city free from traffic congestion and orderly. This new project was officially launched today by the Chief Minister of the state. Through the implementation of this project, one of the main objectives is to solve the problem of traffic congestion in the capital city as well as create opportunities for business profit.
Everyone’s favorite city Agartala is becoming more sophisticated with time. In this, various projects have been implemented through the Smart City project. In this situation, the initial steps were taken to construct a multi-level car parking cum commercial complex in PPP model in the old motorstand area of the city. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, Chairman of Central Zone of Municipal Corporation Ratna Dutta, Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, CEO of Agartala Smart City Limited and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Shailesh Kumar Yadav were present as distinguished guests in this foundation stone laying and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in his inaugural speech said that the beauty of Agartala city is gradually increasing with time. Agartala city will become one of the most beautiful cities in North-Eastern region in coming days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized development. Currently Tripura is developing more than other states. Work on 6 national highways including upgrading the national highway to four lanes from Churaibari to Agartala in Uttar district is in progress. Besides, the central government has approved 7 more national highways and four ropeways. The center has allocated about 10 thousand 222 crores for the implementation of these projects.
Now development work is going on all over the state. This government does not want to force anyone to pay anything. The government wants to work with everyone. And everyone needs help for developmental work.
Inaugural Chief Minister also said that such multi level car parking cum commercial complex in Agartala city is a matter of pride for all of us because traffic congestion is a big problem. Traffic congestion is a major problem everywhere. With the development, the number of vehicles is increasing. So a proper plan is needed for vehicle parking, where vehicles used to be parked earlier and still happening and this creates problems. Therefore, the government has taken the initiative to construct a multi-level car parking cum commercial complex.
The construction of this multi-level car parking cum commercial complex is scheduled within the next three years. The State Government will not spend any money for the construction of this multi-level car parking cum commercial complex. This space is leased for 30 years. The concerned company can extend the contract after 30 years. On this day, the Chief Minister once again stressed the importance of completing the work in time. According to Smart City sources, this multi-level car parking cum commercial complex will have 280 car parking facilities. Above there will be different types of hotels, shopping malls and business establishments.
This multi-storied building will be completed with a height of about 50 meters. This building will be built in government and public partnership. The expenditure for this has been estimated at around 200 crore rupees.
