Agartala: Dec 21: Two months ahead of Tripura poll, MP and national president of Bhartiya Jamatia Party’s youth wing Yuba Morcha, Tejasvi Surya who arrived here on a two days tour of the state expressed that seeing the enthusiasm among the youth he has no doubt that they shall reinstate the BJP government here in next election.
He said that there is no doubt that BJP will return back to power in Tripura and on the vote and activities of the Yuba Morcha which with full determination shall work day and night for the coming two months before the election in order to ensure that the young generation get the benefits of the double engine BJP government.
The young MP also raised the issue of menace of drugs especially among the youth of the country and the region and urged all to unitedly counter it along with the government. He said that the issue of drugs is very serious because it is a concern of not only the security of the country but it directly also affects the youth of the nation and who are 60 percent of the country’s population. Surya added the Northeast because of its geographical sensitivity and its placement between very important strategic zone is also prone to various narco wars that other countries are trying to ways inside India.
However, he is confident that under the leadership of PM Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah these external forces shall not be able to succeed and according to him in last eight years the government has confiscated and destroyed 25 times more drugs than what was done past eight years.
He claimed that there is 200 percent increase in NDPS cases registered while 260 percent increase in the number of arrests made and 12 percent increase in the number of convictions in these cases during last eight years. The young MP viewed that the war against terror and drugs has to be fought together as a society and nation as he called upon all youngsters of the Northeast region to join hand with the government to say no to drugs and fight the battle of drug menace.
This is the maiden visit of Surya to Tripura and on his arrival the local youth welcomed him from the airport by a bike rally and gave a warm welcome in the state guest house where he had a meeting with the office bearers of the youth organization to set strategies for the coming assembly election scheduled early next year.
