Agartala: Dec 20: Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s wife Panchali Bhattacharjee was seriously injured in a road accident in Mantribari Road area of the capital on Saturday evening while returning home after a party program. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma visited Panchali Bhattacharjee at GB Hospital on Tuesday morning.
On inquiring about Panchali Bhattacharjee’s physical condition, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he has a long personal relationship with Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar. And also works in the Legislative Assembly at the same time. The leader of the opposition and former chief minister Manik Sarkar has cooperated many times in the past. He said that Manik Sarkar’s wife came to GB Hospital after hearing about the accident. The Deputy Chief Minister wished for Panchali Bhattacharjee’s speedy recovery.
