Biplab demanded to open border market: criticized of death procession after consume poisoned liquor in Bihar
Agrtala: Dec 15: MP Biplab Kumar Dev raised the demand for re-opening of border haats in Kamalasagar and Srinagar in South Tripura district, which were closed due to the covid situation. Besides, he also demanded the speedy implementation of the proposed border haats. In the past days, MPs from Tripura have demanded in Parliament on issues related to the state’s interest. It was almost a much awaited issue, there every day Biplab Kumar Dev was talking about the achievements of the state and various sensitive issues of the country.
Defending the claim, Biplab Kumar Dev said that these border haats are the center of attraction for tourists and the source of livelihood for many people. Local shopkeepers of both countries come and sell their local products here. People of both countries buy products as per the prescribed rules. Although border haats are open, these two border haats in Tripura are not. In this regard, on behalf of the Department of Industries of the Government of Tripura, the Central Government has been requested to take necessary steps in the matter in consultation with the Government of Bangladesh through a letter to the concerned Ministry.
He said that there is a Joint Border Hut Committee to look after the activities of border huts in which the officials of the respective districts of the two countries are associated with it. On Tripura’s side, although interested in opening the border haat, there was no response from the Bangladesh administration. On that country’s side, no reason was given for not opening the border haat. This is affecting the livelihood of many local people. Therefore, in this regard, he drew the attention of the Ministry of Industry to take necessary measures in order to discuss and take necessary steps. At the same time, he also demanded to start the work of frontier haat in Kamalpur and Dharmanagar as soon as possible.

It should be noted that nearly 40 people have died due to poisoned liquor in Bihar. BJP has been continuously attacking Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inside and outside the House on this issue. As the first MP, he was praised in one speech after another. Even today, Biplab Kumar Dev, from among the BJP MPs, discussed this issue.
On the other hand, Nitish Kumar said, ‘If you drink poison, you will die, people should be careful.’ This statement has sparked more criticism across the country. In Nitish Kumar’s Bihar where liquor is banned, many people are in critical condition in addition to so many deaths. Earlier, by drinking poisoned liquor, death occurred in Bihar.
