Agartala: Dec 07: As the elections are approaching, the main opposition party in the state, CPIM, is not missing any opportunity to warm up the field. A protest march was organized on the initiative of CPIM 7- Ramnagar assembly constituency from Joynagar area of the capital on Wednesday. The leaders present accused the ruling party BJP of terrorism from the rally.
Demands to restore democracy, end fascist cheap terrorism, withdraw price hikes on essential commodities and create jobs. CPIM Sadar Sub-Committee Secretary Subhashis Ganguly was present in the procession on this day. He faced the media today and said that democracy has collapsed in the last 57 months of the state, the prices of daily necessities are becoming rampant day by day, lack of employment, and terrorism has given its head.
And in view of these, he expressed the opinion that people will vote from the experience of the current government and overthrow the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. He also said that BJP will not be able to stop Left Front by attacking its supporters. The presence of workers’ supporters in the organized march was quite remarkable. CPIM West District Committee Secretary Ratan Das was also present among the leaders.
