Agartala: Dec 02: 100 Junior Engineers in Group A and 100 Junior Engineers in Group B will be recruited through Tripura Engineering Service in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical through Public Works Department. Earlier it was decided to recruit 200 Junior Engineers in Group-A and Group-B. The decision to recruit 200 more junior engineers will result in a total recruitment of 400 junior engineers. This recruitment process will be completed by TPSC. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the way of employment for unemployed engineers has been opened. Degree and Diploma – both will get opportunity. After the cabinet meeting on Thursday, Sushanta Chowdhury announced this in a press conference on Friday.
He also said in a press conference in Secretariat that the state government started purchasing paddy through FCI at MSP price so that poor farmers do not lose enthusiasm in paddy production. Paddy was purchased twice in 2018-19. The price of which was Rs 17.50 per kg. In 2019-20 this price increased to Rs 18.15. In 2020-21 it is Rs 18.68. In 2021-22, paddy was purchased at Rs 19.40 per kg. This time in 2022-23, the state cabinet has decided to purchase paddy at the rate of Rs 20.40 per kg. The process of paddy procurement will begin across the state in the next few days. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that this is a landmark decision. So far 1.31 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from farmers. The government has purchased paddy worth Rs 243.99 crore. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the target of purchasing 35 thousand metric tons of paddy has been taken.
Until now, Group A and Group B government employees had to take referrals for treatment abroad. Employees get medical bills after treatment in government recognized hospitals. The Cabinet has now decided that Group A and Group B government employees do not require referral for treatment abroad. If the employees and their family members are treated in government recognized hospitals then the bill will be paid later. At the same time all the employees who are working outside the state will also get the medical bills later if they get medical services. Retired employees would get Rs 15,000 in advance for 5 years for medical treatment abroad.
Now it has been increased to 50 thousand rupees. Group-C and Group-D employees will get cancer and cardio treatment bills. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury informed about the decision of the Cabinet. He said that the employees of all Tripura buildings will also get this facility.
