Agartala: Nov 17: The education minister has lost his mental balance, whether it is because of his age or because of counting money, this is how Sudip Roy Barman attacked a Congress meeting in Marachara Bazar under Surma Assembly. He said, there has been no employment in Tripura in the last five and a quarter years. The unemployed are roaming around.
He alleged this government has not been able to bring any industry in the state of Tripura for a long quarter of five years. And there is no condition to run the industry in the state. Because TIDC chairman Tinku Roy’s office is locked due to corruption. The few industries that belonged to the state of Tripura also fled the state. Vacancies have been lying in government offices for years. The few jobs that have taken place in the state have been marred by rampant irregularities and corruption. And those who are getting jobs have money.
But the employees who are in the government offices are being deprived of expensive allowances. And extreme corruption is going on with Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Houses are not available for BJP cadre, mandal and panchayat chiefs without payment. And these people are leaving BJP and joining Congress. He also said that the condition of roads in rural areas is in bad condition. Even though these roads have been renovated, the work is of very poor quality. He alleged that the money allotted for the road is being looted. Barman also said that the contractors who can carry out development work in Tripura state are not given to them but contractors from outside the state are being hired at extra cost.
Referring to the health system, he said that there are not enough doctors and health workers in the hospitals. The machine in the cancer hospital has been broken for a long time. Sudip Roy Barman raised a question to the government about where the people will go. BJP leaders are directly involved in drug trade. Student youth society is drowning in this addiction. There is no point in blaming the police for this rampant trade. The people of the state must unite to get rid of this. And the secular party Congress assured the workers that they will do whatever it takes to oust the BJP from Tripura state. He also said that the ideology of Congress is similar to many parties. So talks are going on with all those parties. Sudip Roy Barman indicated the alliance that they will be ousted together in the coming days. He also said that taxes have been imposed on various items in an unfair manner.
People have to bear this GST from women to cremation. He said that the Congress will fight this determination in the next election. That day, more activists encouraged supporters to protest and resist. There is nothing to fear. Having taken a lot of beating now have to fight against this brutality and bike forces. This brutality and bike army is the capital of BJP said Barman. Besides, he attacked the BJP keeping in mind the 75th anniversary of independence on this day.
He said that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence, the BJP hung the pictures of its own leaders and ministers instead of the pictures of the freedom fighters. Again they claim to be a nationalist party. He sarcastically said that. Many activists from different political parties joined the Congress in the organized joining meeting. Former MLA Ashish Saha, All India Congress editor Szarita Laitphlang and others welcomed the participants by handing over the party flag.
