Agartala: Nov 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an opportunity to celebrate Janajati Gaurav Divas. The whole country is moving forward with his philosophy. So that India can become self-reliant within the next 25 years. Union Minister Sarbananda Sanowal said this while unveiling the life-size statue of Birsa Munda at Dhalabil Banbiti Eco Park on a visit to Khowai on Tuesday.
He said injustice was done to the North-East during the UPA government. But since the establishment of the Narendra Modi-led government in the country, the government has been giving special importance to the North-Eastern region. Now the double engine government is playing a very important role in strengthening Tripura. Tripura will become a powerful state in the country in the coming days. Sarbananda Sanowal opined that Tripura is moving in that direction.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the government is working for overall development including development of roads, health infrastructure and education system. So that the basic needs of the people of the state can be fulfilled. For a long time people were given unethical jobs by walking in procession lines. But the present government is the government of transference. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that no work was done unethically.
The Chief Minister left to auspiciously inaugurate the Khowai Women Police Station. There, the chief minister unveiled the plaque of the police station and said that the government wants to empower women. For women self-empowerment, the government wants to bring the anti-social acts committed against women to zero. He said that the government is working with that goal in mind. He claimed that the crime rate in Tripura state has reduced by 30 to 40 percent. And this success has been made possible mainly due to the proper performance of police duties.
The opposition political parties are trying to fish in muddy waters saying there is no rule of law in Tripura. Therefore, he said to the opposition that among the 28 states of the country, Tripura ranks fifth in terms of improving law and order. The chief minister expressed hope that the police will perform their duties to improve law and order in the state in the coming days. Apart from the Chief Minister, State Police Chief Amitabh Ranjan and other policemen were also present.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Khoai Barbil Sewage Processing Center on this day. After inaugurating the program, the Chief Minister said that in 2014, Narendra Modi government was established in the country and raised the voice of building Swachh Bharat and urged the countrymen to keep the roads clean. And initiatives have been taken to build a transparent environment with emphasis on that. He said its main purpose is to give a clean environment to the next generation. Today, the Chief Minister said that the state of Tripura is moving ahead with the whole country with that goal. Chief Minister Kalyani Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and other leaders were present in the organized function. Sewage processing center was constructed at the initiative of Khowai Municipal Council at a cost of two crore rupees. This will benefit the residents of Khowai.
