Agartala: Nov 11: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari chaired a review meeting of the North Eastern States on the progress of National Highway construction work held in Guhati on November 9 and 11. State Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was present in this meeting. After this meeting, the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister announced the approval of seven new projects for the state of Tripura.
Subrata Chakraborty, Chief Spokesperson of the BJP, announced this information at a press conference at the BJP office in the province on Friday. He announced approval of Rs10 thousand 222 crores to the state for these projects. The seven new projects approved include Rs 3,233 crore for four-laning Churaibari-Agartala NH-08, Rs 3,161 crore for western and eastern sections of Agartala bypass, Rs 2,421 crore for Khowai-Teliamura-Amarpur-Harina NH-208. , Rs 480 crore for four-lane Udaipur-Srimantapur road, Rs 692 crore for four ropeway projects from Maharani-Chabimura, Udaipur railway station to Tripura Sundari Mandir, Jampui Hills and Kamalpur, Rs 35 crore for three railway overhead bridges and cement in urban areas Rs 200 crores for construction of concrete roads.
State BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and the state Chief Minister for announcing the sanction of Rs 10,222 crore to the state for seven new projects.
