Jamatia, a former Minister says more than 90 percent of IPFT organisations have merged with TIPRA Motha. He added that had joined Motha for greater unity of the tribal section of people and to support for the cause of Pradyot Kishore who has called for Greater Tipraland.
Jamatia claimed that being a Minister he could bring changes in tribal lives through introducing new schemes and even reviving defunct schemes but at the same time alleged that BJP was responsible for his failure to work for the people.“I tried to work for people – tribals and non tribals alike. But I was not allowed to work…the state ADC has not yet become territorial council, thousands of backlog posts are lying vacant. I could not work and BJP is responsible for this”, he said.On the days CPIM tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad senior leader Chandan Tripura also joined TIPRA Motha.

Those having rights fight for power and those not having rights first have to fight for rights.”He added, “Those who ask for unified movement, they should set their house in order. After elections, we shall see who ahs what. But whoever will not give us constitutional solution in writing to 13 lakh tribals, we shall not ally with any part till then.”
Media when asked Pradyot to give reaction on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma’s reply on his one day visit that Tipra Motha is not a factor for BJP and BJP can manage Tipra Motha before Assembly election 2023.
