In a bizarre incident one minor boy killed four including three of his family members on Saturday (05/11/2022) night said police.
“The incident occurred at Durai Shivbari, under Kamalpur police station in remote Dhalai district of Tripura,” said Dr Ramesh Chandra Yadav, superintendent of police, Dhalai.
“The accused is around 17 years old and he killed one Badal Debnath (70) grandfather of the accused, Samita Debnath (32) mother, Suparna Debnath (10) sister and Rekha Deb (42) relative.”
Reportedly the attacker was addicted and used an axe for the murders.
Locals say the accused was also TV addict and use to watch various crime investigations shows and online games.
After receiving the information police including Superintendent of Police, Dhalai reached the spot.
The SP added that accused had earlier committed a theft in his own house and yesterday he tried to hide all circumstantial evidences including the bodies. Moreover, during committing the crime he was playing a music system in high volume so that the screams of the victims could not be heard.
Dr Yadav said, “After commission of crime the accused buried all victims’ body in a pit near the courtyard of the house of the accused and fled away. Later when his driver father one Haradhan Debnath returned home and found no one at home he received a call from someone regarding some screaming in his house and during search notices a hand out of the mud. Later police found the bodies.”
Immediately police registered a specific case vide Kamalpur police station case No. 63/2022 U/S 302 IPC and started investigation.
During investigation of the case using scientific and technical aid police today morning detained the accused person from a nearby market Halahali as he was trying move from there.
Investigation is in progress to unearth the motive of the crime and for further legal action.
Police has registered case under IPC section 302 and 201.
