Agartala: Nov 04: The ground of Saroj Sangh at Jagahari Mura near the capital has been in the hands of some contractors and unscrupulous persons for a long time. A large part of this field was once occupied by construction materials and parts used in construction work. Several complications arise with this. The police also had to intervene. The problem is somewhat resolved but not over.
The local residents are following the mayor in several demands including field renovation for full use of this field. He demanded from the Pur Nigam to renovate the ground and make it suitable for everyone to use and play. Accordingly, Mayor Deepak Majumder visited Soraj Sangh field on Friday. After the inspection, the mayor said that the field adjacent to Saroj Sangh has been demanded to be renovated and made available for games. Agartala Municipal Corporation has already started renovating the grounds and reservoirs.
AMC take initiative to make Agartala beautiful. The locals want the field to be renovated. AMC will take action accordingly. The mayor said that he will talk to the sports minister. He clearly stated that no marriage can be held in this field. This field will be used for playing only. At the same time, he urged everyone not to hold a drunken party in this field. He gave a message to the club and locals to take special initiative in this regard. The mayor laid special emphasis on stopping anti-social activities. Mayor Deepak Majumder gave a message to create public opinion against addiction.
