Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attend the Sharad Sanman ceremony organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs on Wednesday. Speaking at the event organized in front of Ujjayanta Palace in the capital, the Chief Minister said that neighborhood clubs have an important role to play in making Tripura drug-free.
Because the clubs know what’s happening where. The government is trying to stop about drug addicts; the source of the drug should be traced. The state government is working in that direction. The defense administration is being overhauled. Under no circumstances shall intoxicants be allowed to enter the State of Tripura. Again no drug will be allowed to be smuggled from the state. The state has been cultivating cannabis for many years. The Chief Minister said that Tripura state has seized the maximum amount of drugs and ganja among the North-Eastern regions.
Government cannot do anything alone. Everyone should come forward. It is the responsibility of the government to solve the basic problems of all. Apart from the Chief Minister, Information and Culture Department Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, MLA Mimi Majumder, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, Director General of State Police and others were present in the ceremony. On this day’s program, according to the announcement of the Department of Information and Culture, awards were given to Durga Puja entrepreneurs selected in various categories from all over the state. The chief minister handed over certificates along with trophies to the selected puja performers. It is noteworthy that other puja entrepreneurs were present in the event.
