Opposition CPIM in Tripura though is ready to form pre poll alliance inorder to stop BJP returning to power but says before that it has to regain public confidence and for that it wants to bring together all secular democratic parties in the state to bring back democracy and rule of law informed CPIM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on Thursday.
He was addressing a press conference in the CPIM headquarters in capital Agartala where he claimed that talks with secular democratic parties are going on and which is the present priority of the party.
However, he added that the CPIM party at the central level had decided that it would do everything and what is required to stop the BJP but the poll alliance will be decided at the local level.
Chowdhury added that CPIM is working for it and already talks have have been held.
Though the CPIM top leader and former MP Chowdhury did not disclose much with which party talks were held but hinted at there is every possibility of prepoll alliance and which is likely to be disclosed soon.
