Agartala: Dec 13: Newly appointed All India Trinamool Congress president for Tripura, Pijush Kanti Biswas on Tuesday had warned the Tripura government that TMC would “cripple the state administration in January if the state government fails to improve the law and order situation which has deteriorated under BJP regime here beside resolve the issue of 10323 retrenched teachers and STGT qualified aspirants teachers who were victims of the brutality of police that failed in its actual duty to take action against the ruling party goons and takes action against innocent citizens.
Addressing a press conference in the Trinamool headquarters in Agartala, Biswas alleged that the BJP failed to keep its 2018 pre election promises and has totally lost it support.
He added that people have moved away from BJP which at present does not have support of every 10 percent of the population and so want to win the elecitons by using the hooligans.
Biswas said that TMC shall focus on encouraging people against ‘bike bahini’ (BJP goons) and if the police doesn’t take any step then they shall take legal action to send them to jail.
He said that the overall law and order situation in Tripura has declined recently including government’s denial and police action on 10323 retrenched school teachers and Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT) qualified candidates when they went to seek jobs.
He warned that if things didn’t improve soon, Trinamool Congress would launch a statewide agitation and would cripple the administration in January.
Biswas also criticized his former party Congress and which according to him is trying to forge an alliance with the CPIM party which had then unleashed untold violence and atrocities on Congressmen during their 25-year long regime till 2018 and so people shall not accept them and support the TMC that can only pull down BJP from power in Tripura.
On the day two former Congress leaders including ex state Mahila Congress secretary Madhuri Chakma and Milton Chakma joined the Trinamool Congress party.
