Agartala: Dec 04: The police succeeded in raiding illegal liquor sellers. A lot of foreign liquor was recovered. Allegedly, foreign liquor is being sold illegally at night in different parts of the capital.
It is also alleged that this liquor is sold at a high price. Home delivery is also offered somewhere. Various police stations and outposts of the city are taking steps to stop the illegal sale of liquor by raiding on the basis of secret information. On Sunday, based on a tip-off, the police of West Police Station arrested a person named Panna Chauhan from Ramnagar 4 Road area of the capital. He is accused of selling illegal liquor.
42 bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from him. Meanwhile, police from Battala outpost arrested a man named Chandan Kar with a TomTom. 59 bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from him. Both of them have been brought to the West Police Station for questioning. This was said by the OC of the West Police Station.
