Agartala January 14: 100 kg of dried cannabis was seized by the police of Teliamura police station. It is known that cannabis was seized from a long-distance lorry after searching the Hawaibari canal. Along with that, the lorry driver was arrested.
The vehicle bearing registered number TR01-AS-1708, left from Agartala. On this day, Teliamura police was able to seized 100 kg of cannabis by searching the lorry. According to the police, an attempt was made to transport these ganjas in a novel manner by using long-distance lorry oil tankers. According to the police, the estimated market value of seized ganja is Rs one and a half lakh. Police have arrested the accused lorry driver named Anup Sarkar from Bishalgarh. The police claimed that they are conducting a proper investigation regarding the recovery of the related cannabis.
