After 43 days of hunger strike, the government has not taken any initiative to re-employ 10323 terminated teachers. So they blocked the roads of the city today in protest. 10,323 affected teachers took to the streets after the results of JRBT’s Group C and Group D written examination were released. On Thursday, they blocked the road for an hour in the area adjacent to Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan. They demanded that the government would show sincerity in recruiting Group C and Group D posts through JRBT, even if they did not direct them to schools.
As soon as the results of the written examination were published, they were once again disappointed. The leader of the organization, Pradip Banik, said that the results of the written examination of Group C and Group D of JRBT were published on Wednesday night. But most of the dismissed teachers were hopeful of getting jobs. But through JRBT some of the dismissed teachers can survive. After the announcement of the results of the written examination, it was seen that the fired teacher also lost that opportunity. Therefore, on the 43rd day of the hunger strike, they were forced to block the road, said Pradip Banik, the leader of the organization.
But the current chief minister assured that he would soon discuss the issue of 10,323 sacked teachers with lawyers and take a decision. It has been seen that he is taking a passive attitude without taking any initiative. So join the road blockade for an hour. Otherwise, he warned that the movement will be prolonged. But it is difficult to say in which direction the government is moving ahead with the 10,323 sacked teachers ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. However, a percentage of 10,323 feel that this movement may affect the elections in the next assembly.
